Find the treasure and stay in the game

Overview In this game, you are presented with a 4x4 game board filled with hidden treasures (gems) and dangerous traps (bombs). Your goal is to collect as many gems as possible without triggering a bomb. You wager tickets to start the game, and as you find gems, you earn points. However, the game ends as soon as you uncover a bomb. Game Flow
To start the game, you must wager a certain number of tickets. These tickets are the currency used to play the game.
Once you’ve wagered, the game board is randomly generated with 16 slots. Most of these slots contain gems, but five of them hide bombs.
The board consists of 4 rows and 4 columns (a 4x4 grid). Each slot on the board is initially covered. You must select slots one at a time, hoping to uncover gems while avoiding bombs.
If you select a slot with a gem, you earn points based on a calculated odds system. The odds decrease as you find more gems and fewer remain. The calculation is based on the probability of finding a gem in the remaining slots. Higher stakes lead to higher potential points.
The game ends immediately if you uncover a bomb. In this case, you lose the game and do not earn any points.
The goal is to uncover all gems without hitting a bomb. If you manage to do this, you win the game and receive the total points earned. If you believe you’ve earned enough points, you can choose to end the game early without selecting another slot. This way, you can lock in your points.
If you end the game before uncovering a bomb, you keep the points you’ve earned. If your points exceed the tickets you initially wagered, the excess points are saved as your earnings.
If you don’t earn enough points to surpass your initial stake, the remaining points will be deducted from your total.
● The game board is a 4x4 grid filled with gems. However, five random slots are replaced with bombs. These bombs are placed randomly every time a new game starts, ensuring that no two boards are the same.
● The game saves the results after each game, whether you win or lose. Your total points and the results of each round (including whether you won or lost) are recorded. ● These results affect your overall standings in the tournament and leaderboard, which refresh every three days.
● Starting the Game: You wager 10 tickets to start the game. ● Selecting Slots: You choose a slot in the first row, second column. If it’s a gem, you earn points. If it’s a bomb, the game ends, and you lose. ● Ending the Game: After uncovering a few gems, you decide to end the game to keep your points, avoiding the risk of hitting a bomb.
● When you uncover a gem, the points you earn are calculated based on how many gems are left on the board and how many total boxes are left to select from.
● The points formula is: Points for each gem = 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒 × 𝑜𝑑𝑑𝑠 + 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒
Where the odds are calculated based on the probability of finding a gem versus hitting a bomb.
Odds Formula: 𝑜𝑑𝑑𝑠 = (1/𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑔𝑒𝑚) − 1
● As you select more boxes, the probability of finding a gem decreases, so the more gems you find, the higher your potential points.
● If you hit a bomb, you get 0 points and lose the game.
● You can also end the game early and collect the points you’ve earned so far, but you have to deduct your initial stake from your total points if you haven’t yet surpassed your stake.
Let’s break this down step by step with a real example:
Starting the Game: You start the game with a stake of 10 tickets. The game presents you with a 4x4 board (16 boxes), and 4 of them are gems, while the rest are either empty or bombs.
First Selection: You select a box and find a gem! Now, you know there are 3 gems left on the board, and 15 boxes remain. The probability of finding a gem is , which gives you odds of:
1 35 𝑜𝑑𝑑𝑠 = 1 1 35 − 1 = 4 − 1 = 3
Your points for this selection: 𝑃𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠 = 10 × 3 + 10 = 30 + 10 = 40 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠
Second Selection: You pick another box and find another gem! Now, 2 gems are left, and 14 boxes are remaining.
The probability of finding a gem is , and the odds are:
2 14 𝑜𝑑𝑑𝑠 = 1 2 14 − 1 = 7 − 1 = 6
Your points for this selection: 𝑃𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠 = 10 × 6 + 10 = 60 + 10 = 70 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠
Your total points so far: 40 + 70 = 110 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠
Third Selection: You choose another box, but this time you hit a bomb! The game ends immediately, and you lose all your points, finishing with points.
Alternative Scenario: If you had chosen to end the game early after finding 2 gems (instead of continuing), you could have kept your 110 points.
● Let’s say after selecting 2 gems and accumulating 110 points, you decide to end the game early. ● Since your points (110) are greater than your original stake (10), you don’t have to deduct anything, and you walk away with 110 points. This system rewards risk-taking but also allows cautious players to end the game before they hit a bomb and lose everything.
● Wager tickets to start the game. ● Select slots on the 4x4 grid to uncover gems and earn points. ● Avoid bombs to continue playing. ● End the game early to keep your points, or keep playing to uncover more gems. ● Win the game by uncovering all gems without hitting a bomb.
